CHECK ELIGIBILITYLiving with early Alzheimer’s disease or mild memory problems?

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a brain condition that gets worse over time and causes problems with memory, thinking, behavior, and doing everyday tasks like bathing and paying bills. It's the most common type of dementia, affecting about 57 million people worldwide. It's a leading cause of death and disability in older adults, placing a huge burden on family and patients' caregivers. Right now, there are four approved medications for AD in Australia, with some providing short-term relief from symptoms and others helping to slow the disease from getting worse.

The investigational study medicine is designed to support your brain's "cleanup crew" - special brain cells called microglia that help keep your brain healthy. In Alzheimer's disease, these cleanup cells may stop working properly, allowing harmful protein buildups (called amyloid plaques and tau tangles) to form in the brain. The investigational study medicine is designed to help these cleanup cells work better so they can clear away these buildups and support brain health.
We are testing an oral (capsule) investigational study medicine to see whether it can safely and effectively slow down early Alzheimer's disease.
At your appointments, the following may be performed

Height, weight, vital signs and neurologic exam

ECG (checks your heartbeat)

Uses magnets to take pictures of your brain using no radiation

Uses a safe radioactive tracer to look at protein buildups in your brain

Short tests on a device

What is a placebo?
A placebo looks like the investigational study medicine being tested and is also given in the same way as the investigational study medicine that is being studied, but it does not have any active ingredients. You will take one capsule every day.
Is there a cost to participate?
There is no cost to participate. All study-related exams, study-related medications and study-related medical care are provided. You may be reimbursed for any reasonable time, travel and other costs associated with the visits for the study.

Version 1.0, Approved 03/2026
The investigational study medicine is not approved by health authorities such as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and is still under investigation for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease so its effectiveness and safety have not been established.
