Collection and processing of Personal Data

“Personal Data” is information that directly identifies you or could reasonably be used in combination with other information to identify you and which is submitted to and/or collected by TrialX. Examples of Personal Data that directly identify you can include your name, telephone number, email address, and other similar information. Examples of Personal Data used in combination with other information that may be able to identify you include gender, date of birth, health condition or status, zip code, and other similar information. Both types of information are considered “Personal Data” for the purposes of this policy.

Certain areas of this website allow you to contact TrialX to ask questions or provide comments or other information, such as withdrawing consent. Please be aware that when you ask questions or provide comments or other information, you may be disclosing Personal Data.

Non-Personal Data is information that is not personal, such as questions, comments, ideas, and suggestions that you provide, or information that we may collect that is not linked to any Personal Data. Non-Personal Data will be treated as non-confidential, and we may disclose and/or use that information without any obligation whatsoever to you, for any purpose and through any means.

The notion of “processing” designates any action that is undertaken on your Personal Data such as collection, storage, access, analysis, deletion, etc.

We collect your personal data to allow you to be contacted by an investigator site for further investigations for a specific study qualification. This processing is based on your prior agreement of privacy terms. If you prefer, you can also retract your consent to the investigator site upon initial contact.

You are free to refuse to communicate your data to us. However, if you refuse to communicate your data, please note that it will not be possible for an investigator site to contact you. Within 60 seconds, your personal data is transferred to the partner and/or investigational site and then pseudonymized in the TrialX system. Pseudonymized means that no information that can directly identify you (e.g., name, contact information, etc.) is used, rather only a number or letter code. All data is removed from the TrialX system at the term of the contract.

What is the length of time Personal Data is retained on this website?

Your personal data is retained for the duration described above in the purpose section, and only for the duration that is necessary to fulfill the above-mentioned purpose, unless further retention is necessary to meet legal or regulatory requirements or to the protection of SANOFI’s interests.
